Martlets Hospice, Hove

Martlets Hospice in Hove, is an established charitable healthcare facility providing specialist care and support for people affected by terminal illness. This project involved the extension and comprehensive remodelling of the existing hospice, delivering modern, compliant facilities designed to enhance the quality of care for patients, improve the working environment for staff, and support the long-term operation of the hospice.

Delta Green was appointed to undertake the RIBA Stage 4 Technical Design for both the new inpatient extension and the complete refurbishment of the existing hospice building. The design incorporated the full mechanical and electrical services strategy, carefully integrated within the live healthcare environment to minimise disruption whilst meeting the operational requirements of the hospice.

Following completion of the Technical Design, Delta Green continued to support the project throughout the construction phase, undertaking construction monitoring to review the quality and compliance of the installation works. We also assisted the client team through commissioning and project handover, helping to ensure the completed facilities were delivered in accordance with the design intent and the client’s operational requirements.
