Met College, Brighton
The MET College campus is an established further education facility located in the centre of Brighton. Over the past decade, the campus has undergone a significant programme of redevelopment to modernise its facilities and enhance the student experience. This has included the construction of a new 3,000m² Southern Extension dedicated to creative industries, together with the creation of a new public plaza. More recently, the programme has encompassed the refurbishment of the existing nine-storey tower building, with the latest phase focused on upgrading the college’s commercial training kitchen facilities.
Delta Green has developed a strong working relationship with the Chichester College Group, delivering projects across a number of its campuses, including Brighton, Shoreham, Worthing and Crawley. The Brighton campus represents one of the most significant schemes within this portfolio, reflecting a long-term commitment to the site’s ongoing development.
Delta Green was responsible for the full mechanical, electrical and energy design of the Southern Extension, supporting the project from Concept Design through to construction and final handover. We subsequently acted as Client Representative during the refurbishment of the tower building, overseeing the delivery of the works, and have most recently developed the design for the refurbishment of the college’s specialist catering and training kitchen facilities, continuing to support the campus as it evolves to meet the needs of future students.
